with Tina Bystrom, NBCR, LMT

September 22-24, or September 22-25

If you are registered for the workshop, you can register for accommodations and meals here

With the rise of speed and technology in every aspect of our society, it is essential that we prioritize our connectedness to self, others, and nature to maintain a healthy balance in our bodies and in our lives. The Autumnal Equinox offers a time of equilibrium, a balance between night and day, and a perfect moment to listen to the Body, open the Mind, and rejuvenate the Spirit within the rhythms of nature.

Join an extraordinary group of women as we slow down and learn (or remember) how to:

  • Recognize and respond to the direct, lively feedback from our bodies
  • Allow and plan for our unique circadian rhythms and sense of pace
  • Value and maintain our core need for human touch
  • Nourish our innate yearning to connect with and be grounded in nature

Throughout the Rhythmic Rejuvenation Women’s Retreat, we will honor and explore the Body as a sensory vessel through which we interact with the worlds within and without us, and as a cellular time capsule, a recorder and container of our unique human experience, from conception on.

We will listen to, express, and nourish the Body-Mind-Spirit with dynamic tools and techniques to help us understand, heal, and enhance our sensory and emotional experiences through:

  • Somatic (body) awareness and liberation: self-assessment, solo and partnered bodywork, intuitive and playful movement
  • Storytelling and Language: explore patterns of thought, words, tenses, and stories
  • Art: finger painting! Connect with your inner child and let her play and express
  • Rhythm: live hand drumming will underscore several of our activities
  • Connection with nature: nature meditations, walks, hot tub soaks, and the beauty 40 natural acres

In this full weekend of offerings, session participation is always optional.
here will be ample free time to gather into smaller groups and for personal reflection.

ADDITIONAL INTENSIVE through September 25: This optional, additional day is for those who wish to continue to breathe slowly and deeply, enjoy nourishing meals made with love, commune with others in nature, and move further into the tools and techniques we have learned over the weekend.

Remain with us to delve more intensely into guided self-assessment, solo bodywork and unwinding, intuitive movement, and the supported release of any memories or emotions that may arise.

We will continue to nurture our connection with nature, and expand our exploration of internalized stories and language, and how we change our lives when we change our inner dialogue.

About the Facilitator: Tina Bystrom has been an impassioned reflexologist and energy medicine practitioner since 2005. Compelled by interest and intuition, she added a massage license in 2016 to expand her scope of touch to the cranium, and ultimately to the “larger” body with her own jostling approach, Rhythmic Myofascial Release™. She has been an enthusiastic recipient of many types of bodywork and energywork throughout her adult life, which has informed her work and led to profound healing on multiple levels.

Tina founded Insight Healing Arts in Bothell as a home for her private practice (formerly Reflexology Northwest), along with a classroom space in which to teach continuing education classes for reflexologists, massage therapists, and others interested in the mind/body/spirit connection It is her joy to offer her first women’s retreat at the delightful Mosswood Hollow Retreat Center over the Autumnal Equinox.
